Champeaux
Champeaux - Have you always wanted to eat in a Alain Ducasse restaurant but always found them too expensive? Well now you can. Champeaux is located in the new “Les Halles” complex across from The Nelson Mandela Gardens. The gardens have great kids facilities and open spaces.
The name “Champeaux” was a restaurant next to Place de la Bourse in 1800 and was noted in many books. Now it is the new home of Alain Ducasse..the restaurant is modern, open and bright. The changing train departure boards tell you the daily specials and prices. The specials are all excellent and can be served quickly. Service is friendly and fast but if you want to linger there is no problem.
One of the specialities are the soufflés. They have savoury as well as sweet ones and they come with a salad. The presentation is beautiful and the taste is excellent Lunch prices are very reasonable. Wines can be ordered by the glass and the water will bring a very large bottle to pour from
Location is Les Halles so it is easy to reach by metro. The complex has many shops and eating places but Champeaux is one of the best and is open seven day a week. They have a huge bar that you can eat at for a quick meal or just join friends for a drink. Reservations are suggested.
