Paris first Digital Art Center - ATELIER DES LUMIERE

WHOW - fabulous new venue, opened end of April 2018 in the 11th arrondissement.

The building was a 19th century smelting plant with fabulous high ceilings and exposed beams,

the space is very open so you can walk around but it is better to stay in one spot to watch the visuals.

There are 120 video projectors that circle the building on all the walls and floors.

The projection is constantly changing, you can get a little dizzy sometimes because movement is constant. Wonderful for children and people in wheelchairs.

The exhibition now is Gustav Klimt. It is wonderful to see his paintings in digital two stories high.

Tickets can be purchased on line for quick entrance and they have senior discount, which most exhibits do NOT have.

The area has many small restaurants that are not expensive. The people in the area are very friendly, two little ladies told us how to get there and to enjoy it. This new experience is a great addition to the Paris art scene. VERY much worth a visit.

Enjoy!
