Vieques is my favorite Puerto Rico island.. green... lush...  the Spanish Virgin Islands...

New air flights from San Juan to Vieques on Cape Air. 

The most magnificent bio-luminescent bay in the world..

Great houses to rent... you need a car..

Very friendly people.  A real escape!

    "Media Luna"  in town..787-741-2594...great mix of Nuevo Latino and Asian food and fresh fish and meats...Live jazz on some Saturday nites - appetizers are wonderful plates  to share.. reservations a must..
Now there is a second floor that has 'thin crust' pizza!

    "Tradewinds" guest house & restaurant...on the Malecon.. breakfast.. lunch and dinner.. different specials daily.. reservations 787-741-8666 

    You MUST go to the bio-luminescent bay...It is the best in the world.. wear a bathing suit.. the water is very warm.. reserve Island Adventures 787-741-0720.. best viewing is on a night with no moon ...BUT I have gone in a full moon and it is still fabulous...DO IT.

    You need a car in Vieques...  ask you hotel to reserve one.. they do have Publicos and they are very inexpensive... hotel can call them... Best driver is Eddie... call (787) 508-3001

"La Serina" restaurant in Esperanza is very pretty and reasonable.

New restaurants in town." Uva"... and  "next door"..(which is really next door to Uva).

Inn on Blue Horizon now serves breakfast and is now "child" friendly. The restaurant has some themed dinners, as well as reggae and jazz nights and has a great new bar..

Bananas is still the "in" spot....
